Because the ingredients within the e-liquid like menthol, nicotine, and others tend to degrade overtime thereby affecting the flavor of the e-liquid. On the other hand, glass bottles tend to hold the freshness of the e-juice better.

Plastic bottles are unable to defend e-liquids from such light rays.

Many consumers who “steep” their e-liquids tend to go for glass bottles. Plastic bottles are primarily not the first choice for steeping.
